Installations of a building complex have caused a ripple at an art exhibition in Shanghai, which were erected using edible materials, including biscuits, bread and pizza.

上海艺术展上的建筑综合体装置一石激起千层浪,这些建筑物都是使用包括饼干,面包和披萨在内的可食用性材料拔地而起的。

The creative artwork, displayed at the Rockbund Art Museum on Tuesday, is part of artist Song Dong’s Eating Cities series to encourage the public to reflect on urban life. The model structures represent the construction and demolition of modern buildings and skyscrapers.

星期二,在Rockbund艺术博物馆展出的创意作品是艺术家宋东的“吃货城市”系列的一部分,旨在鼓励公众反映城市生活。 模型结构代表着现代建筑和摩天大楼的建设和拆除。

"Through these works, we can see directly how a city is built first and then vanished over time," Song was quoted by local media. "What do we actually own in the end? That’s something we should reflect on about life."

Since 2003, Song has been introducing the conceptual series in cities including Shanghai, London and Barcelona.
