近日，B站（哔哩哔哩）认证账号“陈志新bnu”火了，其发布的社会科学概论备受关注，账号一夜之间“涨粉”几十万。该账号的所有者以及视频中的讲课老师，是北京师范大学副教授陈志新，目前发布的内容为他开设的“社会科学概论”网课。截至发稿时，账号粉丝数已近150万，单条最高播放量破420万。

An associate professor at Beijing Normal University has unexpectedly gone viral on the popular Chinese video platform Bilibili. The certified account has now amassed nearly 1.5 million followers in a matter of days after uploading the "Introduction to Social Sciences" course.

陈志新的传单上寥寥数语，全是真诚的邀请，他说这门课“网络的，免费的，没有学分，没有作业，没有问答，没有考试，想来就来，想去就去”，“可以推荐给朋友和老乡”。

The unlikely rise to fame began when a student shared a simple invitation flyer handed out by Chen. The flyer advertised the online course as "free, with no grades, homework, Q&A sessions or exams — just come if you want to learn."

据《每日经济新闻》报道，该课程在3月28日凌晨3点有上百人在线观看，在早上8点观看人数达到千人，中午该课程显示超过5000人在观看。

Chen's sincere and fuss-free approach seemed to resonate. By March 28, over 5,000 people were simultaneously viewing his lectures at peak hours. The most popular video has surpassed 4.2 million views so far.

他说：“我水平还不够，但是比较实在，我也不说那些很花哨的话，可能这个特点很吸引学生。” 据陈志新介绍，他是从1月1日跨年夜的半夜开始录第一课。大学老师备一门课至少要五六年的时间，自己备课要超过五六年了，真正录课用了3个月。

"My ability is limited, but I try to be down-to-earth. Perhaps students are drawn to that," Chen reflected. He revealed spending over 5-6 years preparing the course content before finally recording it over 3 months starting on New Year's Day.
