主席访英的第一天，参加了女王的私人午宴，参观了白金汉宫里的中国文物皇家收藏馆，在英国议会发表了演讲，还喝了威廉王子请的下午茶……可谓行程满满，不过最重要的还是——国宴。
　　当地时间20日晚8点20分，习近平主席和夫人彭丽媛出席了由英女王和其丈夫菲利普亲王主持的英国国宴，这是接待国家元首的最高规格盛宴。以下是全程报道。
　　晚宴开始前，贵宾们在英国国歌《天佑女王》的音乐中入场就座。

　　因为习近平主席是非常重要的客人，他坐在了女王的右手边，凯特王妃坐在习大大的右手边，而女王的左手边依次是爱丁堡公爵、彭丽媛、威廉王子。

　　国宴进行过程中，自然少不了音乐相伴。威塞克斯伯爵夫人弦乐团现场带来了《威斯敏斯特圆舞曲》（The Westminster Waltz）、爱尔兰和中国民歌，以及甲壳虫乐队的名曲“Eleanor Rigby”。音乐演出的压轴曲目是1977年的《007系列之海底城》（The Spy Who Loved Me）的主题曲Nobody Does It Better。

互赠礼物
　　在国宴之前，习近平主席和女王互赠了礼物。习主席赠予女王的是第一夫人彭丽媛的两张中国民歌专辑（two albums of Chinese folk music recorded by the president's wife Peng Liyuan）、1.8米长的刺绣作品（a 1.18m work of embroidery）、一个大瓷盘（a large porcelain dish）、一副木雕作品（a woodcarving）以及一本邮册（a stamp booklet）。
　　女王回赠给习主席的礼物则包括：一幅银质画框的女王与菲利普亲王的肖像（a pair of silver-framed photographs of herself and Duke of Edinburgh）、一对英国皇冠德贝瓷制烛台（a pair of Royal Crown Derby candlesticks）和皮质镀金盒装的莎士比亚诗集（a collection of Shakespeare's sonnets contained in a specially commissioned leather and gilt box）。
