The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has agreed to recognize East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine in an extraordinary summit held in Istanbul.

在伊斯坦布尔举行的一次特别峰会上，伊斯兰合作组织同意了承认东耶路撒冷为巴勒斯坦的首都。

The OIC "declares East Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Palestine and invites all countries to recognize the State of Palestine and East Jerusalem as its occupied capital," read a joint declaration after the summit.

峰会后发表的一份联合声明表示，伊斯兰合作组织“宣布东耶路撒冷为巴勒斯坦国的首都，并且欢迎所有国家承认巴勒斯坦国，承认东耶路撒冷为其被占领的首都。”

The ruling, which was handed down on Dec. 13, counters U.S. President Trump’s recent recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s “undivided” capital and favors the pre-1967 borders preferred by the two-state solution.

这一于12月13日下达的裁定反制美国总统特朗普近期承认耶路撒冷为以色列的“不可分割的”首都，同时支持巴以解决方案首选的1967年前的边界。

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an had called on the international community to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the Palestinian state.

此前，土耳其总统雷杰普·塔依普·埃尔多安呼吁国际社会承认耶路撒冷为巴勒斯坦国的首都。

“I invite countries that claim international law and equity to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the Palestinian state under occupation,” Erdo?an said, speaking at the OIC summit in Istanbul on the same day.

当天，埃尔多安在伊斯兰合作组织伊斯坦布尔峰会上表示：“我邀请主张国际法律和公平的国家承认耶路撒冷为巴勒斯坦国的被占领的首都。”

“It is a must for countries that have not yet recognized the Palestinian state to take this important step, to maintain a balance that will ensure good sense and justice in the region,” he added.

他补充道：“尚未承认巴勒斯坦国的国家必须采取这一重要的步骤，维持平衡，保证该地区的良好和正义。”
